Pameladevi Govinda

Pameladevi Govinda is a Mauritian artist and tarot reader, born and raised in the UK and now living in Flic en Flac, Mauritius. Her practice, Kali Cards & Canvas, takes its name from the Hindu Goddess Kali—an embodiment of destruction, transformation, and uncompromising authenticity within the Shakti tradition.

Working primarily through collage, Pameladevi explores themes of love, grief, joy, healing, mythology, and the esoteric. Her work draws on Tantra and occult traditions, where image-making and divination operate as parallel processes. In this space, the boundary between artistic practice and spiritual inquiry dissolves.

Her work has been exhibited in Brooklyn, New York, as part of Gowanus Open Studios (October 2023), and in Mauritius at Lakaz Flanbwayan, Medine (August 2024).
